Багато десятиліть традиційними на кафедрі терапевтичної стоматології є клінічні конференції для здобувачів освіти останнього семестру навчання на стоматологічному факультеті. Завершення вивчення останнього Модуля 5. «Поглиблення клінічного мислення студентів. Сучасні методи діагностики, лікування та профілактики основних стоматологічних захворювань» реалізовується у підготовці для всебічного обговорення найбільш складних власних клінічних випадків із практичних занять студентів випускного курсу на X семестрі навчання. Студент – куратор стоматологічного пацієнта, представляючи клінічний випадок, має змогу продемонструвати не тільки знання клінічної ситуації, диференційної діагностики, а й володіння ораторською майстерністю, підготовки наглядної презентації, вміння відповідати на численні запитання колег студентів та викладачів. Обов’язковими на конференції є виступи підготовлених опонентів – студентів, які безпосередньо були знайомі із роботою куратора – студента із пацієнтом і мають змогу проаналізувати як діагностичні, так і лікувальні підходи куратора. Важливим моментом такого типу клінічних конференцій являється активна дискусія усіх присутніх студентів груп, які проходили цикл навчання на кафедрі терапевтичної стоматології, та викладачів кафедри з метою аналізу допущених лікарських помилок, відпрацювання подальшої діагностичної та лікувальної тактики курації пацієнтів із важкими проявами стоматологічних хвороб та уражень порожнини рота на тлі системних змін в організмі.
Clinical conferences for students of the last semester of study at the Faculty of Dentistry have been traditional for many decades at the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry. Completion of the study of the last Module 5. "Deepening the clinical thinking of students. Modern methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the main dental diseases" is implemented in preparation for a comprehensive discussion of the most complex clinical cases from the practical classes of students of the graduation course in the X semester of study. A student-curator of a dental patient, presenting a clinical case, has the opportunity to demonstrate not only knowledge of the clinical situation, differential diagnosis, but also mastery of public speaking, preparation of a visual presentation, and the ability to answer numerous questions from fellow students and teachers. Mandatory at the conference are the speeches of prepared opponents - students who were directly familiar with the work of the curator - the student with the patient and are able to analyze both the diagnostic and therapeutic approaches of the curator. An important moment of this type of clinical conference is an active discussion of all present students of the groups who completed the training cycle at the department of therapeutic dentistry, and the teachers of the department with the aim of analyzing the medical errors made, working out further diagnostic and treatment tactics for curation of patients with severe manifestations of dental diseases and lesions of the oral cavity against the background of systemic changes in the body.
